20% Scheme Under The Social Welfare Department Of The Zilla Parishad
1. Construction of connecting roads in backward class settlements. Construction of connecting roads connecting the internal main roads in the settlements of backward class people,
2. Financial assistance to backward classes for construction of new houses or for repairs. Backward class persons are provided financial assistance for construction of new houses or for repairs of their old houses as per the budget provided by the construction engineer.
3. Providing bicycles to backward class students of 5th to 9th standard. Under this scheme, bicycles are provided to students of 5th to 9th standard who have to walk to school due to distance from home or other transport facilities are not available.
4. Providing professional computer training to backward class students. Under this scheme, financial assistance is provided to backward class students to take professional computer training.
5. Distribution of household bells for small scale industries to provide self-employment opportunities.
6. Providing study rooms, competitive exam preparation and facilities to backward class students in aided hostels. Under this scheme, backward class students in aided hostels are provided with books on various subjects, useful reading materials for competitive exams and all other facilities required for study in the hostel itself.
Financial assistance is provided to prevent closure due to circumstances.
7. Maintenance and repair of subsidized hostel buildings owned by Zilla Parishad Under this scheme, the subsidized hostel buildings owned by Zilla Parishad are repaired as per the requirement so that the students residing in the hostels get a safe building.
8. Financial assistance for small scale industries to backward class beneficiaries (providing sewing machines) Under this scheme, sewing machines will be distributed for small scale industries to provide self-employment opportunities to backward class women,
9. Providing agricultural implements to backward class farmers - Under this scheme, backward class farmers are provided with implements suitable for modern agriculture.
