Introduction
The Panchayat Samiti Wada group was established in 1962 and the total area of the taluka is 76,342 hectares. The total revenue villages are 168. The number of Gram Panchayats is 84 and the total population according to the 2011 census is 1,60,924. There is a famous Shankar temple in Tilsa in Wada taluka. Every year a big yatra is held there on the day of Mahashivratri. Thousands of devotees come there for darshan. There is a famous temple of Vitthal Rakhumai nearby. Also, Kohoj fort in Wada taluka is famous. There are temples and tanks on that fort. Every year a yatra is held on the fort on the day of Makar Sankranti. Also, Shri Krishna Leela has been performed at Galatare under Hare Ram Hare Krishna. The avatar of Shri Krishna, Mathura city, Govardhan mountain have been created. Tourists are in a big crowd to see it. Also, Wada Kolam rice from Wada taluka is famous. This rice is in great demand in the market. Various self-help groups are functioning in Wada taluka and many useful items and food items are made through those self-help groups.
