Birsa Munda Agricultural Revolution Scheme

Objective of the scheme-

To increase the income of Scheduled Tribe farmers in the district, improve their standard of living and make them self-sufficient.

Allowable Benefit-

Under Birsa Munda Krishi Kranti Yojana (In-Area/Out-Area), the beneficiary will be allowed the benefit of one component out of the following: New well amount Rs. 4,00,000/- Old well repair amount Rs. 1,00,000/- or plastic lining of farm pond amount Rs. 2,00,000/-. Along with each component, electricity connection amount for pump set Rs. 20,000/- Drip irrigation set per drop plus crop under the scheme

(1) 55% for small/very small landholders + 25% from Chief Minister's Sustainable Irrigation Scheme + 10% from Birsa Munda Krishi Krati Scheme and

(2) For multiple landholders, subsidy of 45% + 30% from Chief Minister's Sustainable Irrigation Scheme + 15% from Birsa Munda Krishi Kranti Yojana or Rs. 97000/- whichever is less will be admissible.

Under the more crop per drop irrigation scheme

(1) 55% for small/very small landholders + 25% from Chief Minister's Sustainable Irrigation Scheme + 10% from Birsa Munda Krishi Kranti Scheme and

(2) For multiple landholders, 45% + 30% from Chief Minister's Sustainable Irrigation Scheme + 15% from Birsa Munda Krishi Kranti Yojana or Rs. 47000/- whichever is less will be admissible as subsidy. For pump sets (diesel / electric up to 10 horsepower capacity), 90% of the prevailing economic parameters or actual cost or Rs. 40,000/- whichever is less will be admissible as subsidy. PVC pipe 50,000/-, backyard garden-5000/- will be provided as a package.

 

Beneficiary selection criteria-

1. The beneficiary should be a Scheduled Tribe farmer.

2. The farmer should have a caste certificate issued by a competent authority.

3. The names of the farmers must be in the 7/12 certificate of land tenure and an extract of 8-A.

4. Beneficiaries must have an Aadhaar card. Beneficiaries must have a bank account and the bank account must be linked to the Aadhaar card.

5. First priority will be given to beneficiaries below the poverty line.

6. The condition of annual income limit of Rs. 1,50,000/- applicable to the beneficiaries of the said scheme is being abolished.

7. For new wells, the minimum area should be 0.40 hectares and for other items under the scheme, excluding new wells, the minimum area should be 0.20 hectares and the maximum area limit for all items under the scheme will be 6.00 hectares of agricultural land. However, since the land of the resident beneficiaries is in remote areas and fragmented, if two or more beneficiaries holding less than 0.40 hectares come together and their combined land area is at least 0.40 hectares, they will be eligible for the benefits of the scheme if they give a written agreement. Similarly, the condition of maximum holding area of ​​6.0 will not be applicable to beneficiaries below the poverty line.

8. Under this scheme, the beneficiary will be entitled to the benefit of only one of the following: new well, repair of old well or plastic lining of farm pond ...
