The central government As per the guidelines issued on 25.12.2019, the Central Government is committed to providing water to all the families in the rural areas of the country as per “Har Ghar Nal Se Jal” (FHTC-Functional Household Tap Connection) by 2024. The main objective of the Jal Jeevan Mission is to provide at least 55 liters of quality water per capita per day through individual tap connection to every household in the rural areas of the state by 2024. Under the Jal Jeevan Mission program, it is expected to provide water to every family in all the slums of the district of the state through individual taps in a phased manner. This has been clarified in the Jal Jeevan Mission guidelines. Similarly, the annual action plans prepared by the districts include the work of corrective reconnection (retrofitting) for such individual tap connections. The following instructions are being given for preparing the budget for such villages, where the scheme is to be taken up for corrective reconnection (retrofitting) in the first phase.
