(2) It will be mandatory for the applicant to take out three years of buffalo insurance at his own expense. (3) Neither the applicant nor his spouse should be working in a government, semi-government or local government institution or should not be retired. (4) The applicant will have to submit a certificate from the Gram Sevak, Gram Panchayat that the animal has shelter, water and food facilities. (5) 90 percent of the purchase price for one buffalo but a maximum of Rs. 36000/- will be given as subsidy. (6) The animal husbandry will have to submit a completely filled application in the prescribed format to the local veterinary hospital within the prescribed time. (7) After the beneficiary signs the agreement and deposits the insurance amount with the Panchayat Samiti, the subsidy amount should be directly deposited in the beneficiary's Aadhaar linked bank savings account in advance.
